Training Camp!!!

August 2, 2009 12:50 pm

Looking good. Defense looks quick and fast. Getting pressure on the quarterback, something last year we didn't see much. Other then a couple of shove matches, team chemistry has been good. These corners (Harris and Woodson) has looked awesome, age doesn't look like a factor at all. Matt Flynn looks pretty good, thinking he might be the backup for Aaron Rodgers. Other then B.J. Raji, don't be surprise if you see Johnny Jolly out there, can play, we saw him last year making some big plays.

FB Quinn Johnson signed and TE Carson Butler released. LB Clay Matthews signed and WR Jamarko Simmons released. I am a little concern why isn't B.J. Raji signed, but I do trust that he will be signed in the next week.

I think this defense can reach its full potiental this year. I'm sure your asking "Why". Heres why, starting with the linebackers, they quick and fast. Theirs a lot of depth at the LB and a lot of depth in talent at LB. You got about six starters in four positions. B.J Raji and Johnny Jolly will have a huge goal to block the middle and put pressure on the QB, I think they can do that. Justin Harrell will need to improve his skills, but second year, and knows the plays, should do just fine. If we can stay somewhat healthy, and put pressure on the QB, then theres no reason why this defense can't be top in the NFL. Thats my Packers report, enjoy the week.

This 6 players could make a huge impact

July 21, 2009 10:24 am

DE Cullen Jenkins, he was starting great last year. We did have problems rushing the passer besides Aaron Kampman. Can start these year and make a big impact in the 3-4 defense.

S Atari Bigby, one of my favorite players on this team. He is a play maker, can make big plays, wether thats a huge tackle or a interception. We couldn't see much of these with hamstrings problems. Him and Nick Collins could really shut down it down it the back field.

LB Nick Barnett, great tackler. Also, one of my favorite players. Can move side line to side line really well, has great speed. If this guy could stay on the field healthy, could have sovle a lot of our problems last year. His toughest is incredible, I remember when he had that huge cast, just a warrior.

C Scott Wells, the best lineman when on the field for this team. Also, very tough, plays a lot with injuries. Will have to battle for starting spot against Jason Spitz, hopefully that will push him.

WR James Jones, great number three wide out. Has a lot of speed, can catch a Brett Farve pass, huge play maker. Can give Driver a rest here or there, since he is getting older. Its always nice to put some fresh legs and a deep threat on the field. Also, when you put Jordy Nelson in there, watch out, top three in the NFL in wide out depth.

K Mason Crosby, has always been solid. I would like him to expand his kicking range this year. His accuracy has always been around 80 percent, it could get a little better. Its always going to be hard to kick in Green Bay, wether its the cold or the wind. Has a little room of improvement.

T.J. Lang gets signed

July 8, 2009 12:47 pm
Edited on: July 8, 2009 12:49 pm

Packers have signed draft pick T.J. Lang. T.J. Lang was drafted in the fourth round. His position is guard or tackle. Lambeau Field, for the second straight year is number one in ESPN The Magazine's "Utlimate Standings". The ranking are based on cleanliness, parking, security, and promotions. This ranking includes 122 professional sport franchise in North America. Lambeau Field is truly a great place to visit or watch a game. Hopefully next we sign B.J. Raji, first round pick.

Greg Jennings gets resign

June 29, 2009 11:26 am

So this week Greg Jennings gets signed to a long term contact. Love the move by the Packers to lock up this rising star. I heard he is now one of the richest wide recievers. Great move, I have Greg 4th or 5th on my best active wide outs in the league. So many open field moves and so fast. Hes going to be Aaron Rodgers targets for quite some time. He had 12 touchdowns in 2007, then 9 touchdowns last year and 1292 yards last year in his first full season. Wide out Lorne Sam got release also guard Nevin McCaskill got released. Draft pick tackle Jamon Meredith got signed.

Perdiction: Ryan Grant will have a break out this year and make the Pro Bowl if he stays healthy. Look, last two season wasn't really good. This is his third year with the Packers. I know thats a big "if" for staying healthy. But this guy has to have a break out year this year or next year. With the Packers passing game top five in the league, we still need a threat in the running game to keep defenses guessing.

Packers sign three draft picks

June 20, 2009 10:02 pm

The Green Bay Packers have signed linebacker Brad Jones, cornerback Brandon Underwood and defensive end Jarius Wynn. The team also announced the signing of tight end Devin Frischknecht and released cornerback Joshua Abrams. A 6-foot-3, 258-pound rookie from Washington State, Frischknecht will wear No. 46. Rookie Clay Matthews and Brady Poppinga will be battling for starting spots at the outside linebacker position. Outside linebackers for the Packers are a very deep position. This defense has the most talent I have ever witness for the Packers. Hopefully we can sign the rest of the draft picks as soon as possible.

Spencer Harner is a linebacker and a special team player for the Packers. He played four games in 2008 as a special team player. Last couple of seasons he was able to show his tight end skills to scouts. With adding this position to his belt it adds value and increases his chances to make the team. Thats my Packers report this week everyone try to enjoy the weather (I live in PA and its been raining almost every day).
